Shady Records is Eminem's own record label which was first
started back in 1999 at about the time of release of The
Marshall Mathers LP. It is a subsidiary of Dr. Dre's label,
Aftermath, which in turn is a subsidiary of Interscope. His first signing was his Detroit rap
group, D12. D12 appeared on The Marshall Mathers LP and since
that have hit a high level of fame. Their first album dropped
titled 'Devils Night'. Which contained a freestyle by the 2nd
Shady Records singed artist, Obie Trice. Next up was Queens
rapper 50 Cent who is a joint singing with Dr. Dre's label
'Aftermath'. Obie Trice and 50 Cent are both currently working
on their solo projects. Next up Eminem signed his DJ,
Green Lantern.
Stat Quo, the Atlanta rapper has recently signed to Shady Records aswell.
